The English Farm

The English Farm is an experience-rich English-learning concept for short-stay language students in New Zealand. The project combines homestay and classroom in an intensive language programme for Japanese clients who are short on time. The following courses are offered:

• Business English;
• Academic primer;
• Retirement abroad primer;
• Travel and daily life.

Each course is given at the beginner, intermediate and advanced level for one, two, or four weeks. Personalised study materials are also included, adapted to the client's needs. The courses are designed for university students, business people and retirees looking for a taste of living abroad, or to prepare for a longer stay.

Students live with their teachers, and their teachers guide them through living abroad. With the English Farm, clients will better understand how to study English on their return to Japan, or better integrate with the community in New Zealand should they choose to stay. Their experience is richer, and the service more personalised and attentive, than in competing English tuition options.
